Smart city cookbook

 
A little while ago, I have been asked to put on paper my experience and lessons learned from the different Smart City projects I had the chance to work on. The outcome was the Smart City Cookbook. The approach was to bring together all the concepts that does a citizens-centered and democratic smart city in simple terms that everyone could apprehend.

The final product took the form of a cookbook where recipes and ingredients are presented in clear terms. The document covers what is and isn’t “smart”, the infrastructures needed for smart cities development, the place of data in the overall paradigm, the importance of strong data policies and regulations and finally how a quadruple helix (university-industry-government-public) partnerships plays a crucial role.
