digital twin workshop
Back in October, I have been invited by Living-in.eu to debate around city digital twins during the European Week of Regions and Cities . This workshop aimed to showcase examples from European cities, using digital twins for areas relevant to the environment and climate change and explored how they could be replicated and what combinations of generic tools could help in these efforts. I was happy to see that all participants shared (to some extent) the understanding of a digital twin (and smart city at large) as a vector for citizen engagement. A citizen-centric approach is not only the most democratic approach but it also an essential component to bring forward the technology in full trust and transparency.
